In 2004, the city of Dallas impounded 28,686 dogs and cats. Out of these, 25,699 were killed by lethal injection. At A Different Breed Rescue we believe the solution to this epidemic is simple: Stop the births! Spay one female dog or cat at four months of age and in seven years you have prevented 7,300 births. Cats and dogs are born faster than they can be adopted. OUR MISSION IS TO ADDRESS THE TRAGIC CONSEQUENCES OF PET OVERPOPULATION BY FOCUSING ON STERILIZATION, ADOPTION AND EDUCATION.
