Dallas Pet Waste Removal Leader

The inspiration for our Dallas pet waste removal service was a little rescue dog that came to be known as Sgt. Pooper. When still just a puppy, Sgt. Pooper was found abandoned along a lonely stretch of Texas Interstate.

In an act of kindness that changed her life, a young traveler stepped out into the cold rain and knelt. Wet, filthy and hungry, the little dog ran to her and wrapped her paws tightly around the traveler’s neck. And refused to let go.

Sometimes love comes to us like that.

Six months later the little dog had become beautiful with a shiny black coat like velvet to the touch and a marvel to passersby.

Sgt. Pooper’s benefactor turned out to be one of the top litigation paralegals in Dallas. Together, they lived a happy life for one year. Then one day, Sgt. Pooper's new mom was invited to a Christmas Party where she met an artist.

The next day, the artist arrived for a first date. Well, as soon as Sgt. Pooper saw the man, a light went off and she went into overdrive with excitement, racing around literally running up the walls. The man noted, “I was kind of embarrassed because the puppy was acting like I was the one. But I had only just met Erica the night before.”

Well, it wasn’t long before the man, the woman and Sgt. Pooper had become a happy family… with an idea. And Sgt. Pooper became a little black mascot for a very green company. And if you look at how we came together, it was really Sgt. Pooper that picked us. She picked Erica out of all the travelers on that lonely freeway and went to her instantly. And she knew that Steve was "the one" long before he did. Sgt. Pooper provided the inspiration and so this is perhaps the first company started by a dog.

Building on her earlier experience as a veterinary technician and pet sitter, Erica had the idea for a pet waste cleanup service. Animals have always been her true passion, along with her concern for a greener environment. Steve is an entrepreneur, advertising creative and marketing expert who grew up in Dallas, and learned his craft in Los Angeles. And who also has put in more than 20 years as a volunteer helping to improve our world.

And that’s the story of Sgt. Pooper and the origin of our plan to help you “go green with a little help from your friends." Our mission is not just to clean lawns, but also to raise community awareness so that humans take full responsibility for animals and the environment we share.

By keeping Dallas-area yards clean and pet-waste free, Sgt. Poopers helps people and animals lead healthier happier lives. And taking it one step further, we donate a percentage of our proceeds to animal rescue organizations to help less fortunate animals in the DFW area because we know who our friends are.

Equipped with a relentless eye for detail and an unflagging love for animals and the environment, Sgt. Poopers is committed to making sure your home and yard receives first-rate service.

A little help from your friends

What would you think if “Rex” pooped importune?
Would you turn and pretend not to see?
Show me your lawn I'll clean all year long,
And I'll keep your grass waste-free.

Ooh, get by with a little help from your friends.
Beau-ti-fy with a little help from your friends.
Simp-li-fy with a little help from your friends.

Do you need anybody?
“I need my yard to improve.”
Could it be anybody?
“I just want the poop removed.”

Go clean with a little help from your friends.
Ooh, pristine with a little help from your friends.
St. Augustine with a little help from your friends.
Good hygiene with a little help from your friends.
Evergreen with a little help from your friends,
…with a little help from your friends!
